How to get to Bacalar Lagoon?

If you are ready to visit this famous lagoon you can go to the international airport of Chetumal, when you arrive to this capital you will have to take a bus to Bacalar. You will travel in this bus between 45 and 60 minutes, once you are in Bacalar you can walk around until you get to the lagoon; if you don’t want to walk for any reason you can take a collective transportation.

The entrance fee is $31 Mexican pesos per adult. However, if you bring a family member, the cost is reduced for children to $16 Mexican pesos per child; on the other hand, if you are not Mexican and do not have citizenship, the cost increases to $50 Mexican pesos. This is because you are a 100% foreigner.

This is a trip of approximately 3 days and 2 nights, so it would cost you $346 USD; counting the airfare, lodging per night, a total cost for food of $48 USD and finally an additional cost for the activities and some other means of transportation.
